How to use a KakoBuy spreadsheet

A spreadsheet helps you find a product. This guide follows one find from the category list to its full page on KakoPicks, and covers what to check along the way.

01

What the spreadsheet is

A KakoBuy spreadsheet is a list of product finds grouped by category. Each row points to a product page where you can see the listing in full. The list is for discovery: it tells you a product exists and gives you a quick way to reach it.

On this site, every find links to its page on KakoPicks. That page holds the information you need to decide, such as the available options and the QC gallery when one exists.

02

Start from a category

Pick the category closest to what you want, such as sneakers or jackets, and scan the photos first. Save anything that catches your eye without judging it yet. A long first pass is fine; the next step narrows it down.

03

Shortlist before you compare

Look at your saved finds together. Remove duplicates and anything that doesn’t fit what you actually need. When two listings look alike, keep both for now and compare them properly on their full pages.

Check the full page on KakoPicks

Open each shortlisted find and go through the same points every time. Ticking them off keeps your comparison consistent.

Keep your picks organised

Write down the exact option you chose for each item, next to its link. When it’s time to order, you’ll have a clean list instead of a pile of open tabs. The item price is only part of the total; what an item price includes explains the rest.

For a useful first sheet, keep one row per distinct item and record its KakoPicks link, exact option, quantity, measurements checked and any open question. A blank field means you still need information; it does not mean the item passed a check.
