COMPARING Guide 02 of 05

How to compare two similar product listings

Two photos can look almost identical while the listings offer different sizes, materials or versions. Compare the evidence for the exact option you want before deciding which link belongs on your shortlist.

01

Match the exact item

Open both full product pages on KakoPicks and write down the seller, product link and exact option beside each other. A shared cover photo does not establish that two sellers supply the same item. Different options within one link may also have different prices.

Start with a simple comparison row: listing A, listing B, colour, version, selected size, listed price and date checked. If one listing calls an option “version 2” and the other uses a different label, mark that field as unconfirmed instead of assuming they match.

02

Compare photos with context

Look for photos of the selected option, not just a polished cover image. When a QC gallery is available, check which size, colour and version it shows. A photo of a different option is useful context, but it does not confirm the details of your choice.

Compare the same areas in each set: overall shape, seams, closures, labels and the visible finish. Lighting and camera angle can change how a colour appears. Photos cannot establish fabric weight, comfort, durability or authenticity by themselves; leave those points open when no other evidence is available.

03

Put measurements side by side

Use the measurements for the particular listing and size. Labels such as M or L are not a shared measurement standard across sellers. For a top, compare chest width, length and sleeves using the same measuring method; for trousers, compare waist, rise and inseam.

As an example, a shirt measured flat at 56 cm across the chest should be compared with another flat-width measurement, not a 112 cm circumference without noting the conversion. Compare against a garment you already own and like. This is a method example, not a fit recommendation for any product.

04

Separate evidence from assumptions

Give every comparison field one of three states: confirmed in the listing, estimated, or unknown. If one item has a size chart and the other has none, the second item has a measurement gap; it is not automatically worse or better.

Before comparing prices, confirm the same quantity and option are selected. Record whether domestic delivery, optional services or any other charges are included. An unexplained price difference is a reason to investigate, not proof of a quality difference.

05

Keep one clear reason for your choice

Choose using the requirements you wrote down first: fit, colour, intended use and the information you can actually verify. Keep a short note such as “measurements match my reference shirt; exact colour still needs confirmation.” That makes a later recheck easier.

If neither listing answers an essential question, leave both on hold. You can revisit the full listing or ask the seller or shopping agent before placing an order. Once you choose, save the precise option with its link so the comparison survives after the tabs are closed.
